Job Description

The Manager of HAFS US Performance Governance will support the Director of HAFS Performance Governance in overseeing and governing the performance of the Hilton Accounting and Finance Services (HAFS) US organization, including the Center of Excellence (Memphis), the Service Provider, and the Hotels.


What will I be doing?

  • Support the transition of finance and accounting processes to the Center of Excellence (CoE) and Service Provider
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Service Provider contract and ensure obligations are met
  • Maintain the Service Provider relationship
  • Work with the Service Provider Account Manager to progress the goals and objectives of the arrangement
  • Review, monitor and report out on contract compliance
  • Review, monitor and report out on performance on internal and external HAFS operations
  • Review escalated issues and facilitate a resolution as needed
  • Identify and resolve service quality issues at the Service Provider
  • Oversee the completion, agreement and maintenance of CoE metrics and Service Provider SLAs
  • Identify and handle scope issues
  • Support benchmarking studies and implementing continuous improvement
  • Support the goals, key initiatives, priorities, and the strategy for the program
  • Help drive global business process standardization
  • Gather and communicate business needs to the CoE and Service Provider
  • Drive change management related activities initiated by leadership
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems; ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate
  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
Job Requirements

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in Accounting
  • Solid understanding of the principles and practical application of GAAP and the ability to communicate this to stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows, PeopleSoft and HFM)
  • Experience communicating and negotiating with all levels of management and external customers
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Hospitality industry experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
