Job Description

***This position can be based at our corporate office in Dallas, TX or McLean, VA***

The Manager of Search Marketing will be responsible for managing Hilton's paid search performance to accomplish Hilton's business objectives.

What will I be doing?

The Manager of Search Marketing will optimize market, hotel and brand paid search campaigns; utilizing eCommerce Services for hotel feedback, as well as manage and report on major online advertising programs in paid search. The Manager of Search Marketing will manage search engine marketing performance, priorities, and agency resources to accomplish business objectives. The Manager must have prior experience in a Direct Response and performance driven role.

Other key priorities are listed below:

  • Develop goals and objectives for several paid search programs with wide-ranging Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from driving awareness to loyalty acquisition to profit-based performance
  • Partner with key stakeholders to communicate the strategic value of paid search efforts to grow internal knowledge and affinity for paid search related efforts
  • Engage with brand eCommerce Managers and eCommerce Services to ensure brand promotions and activities are supported and all key online marketing channels are fully exploited
  • Research and help to identify business opportunities for Search and report findings and conclusions to upper management
  • Manage the objectives for the department and project and how those objectives are going to be accomplished
  • Establish priorities and delegate work to Team Members accordingly, while ensuring optimal allocation of resources
  • Work with key stakeholders and departments, structuring the resources and activities of the department and project so objectives are accomplished
  • Disseminate, organize and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and project team
  • Evaluate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department
  • Manage the cross-functional links between Search, DRM and other Global Online Services Areas
  • Adhere to measurements of the department to ensure effectiveness, usage and awareness
  • Implement and manage departmental processes and procedures to ensure strategies and directives of the department are carried out and in accordance with department and company objectives
  • Provide direction and directives to the departmental Team Members in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and achieving management objectives
  • Communicate important and necessary information to Team Members via memos, reports and phone calls
  • Leverage effective partnerships with other key departments
  • Inform upper management of the department's progress and advise them on key issues to help the decision making process
  • Ensure established performance standards for Search and DRM are met
  • Ensure the business plan is being followed and goals are being achieved, providing feedback accordingly
  • Enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the department and Company
  • Operate within established budgetary parameters

Job Requirements
What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience
  • Previous experience working closely with Google, MSN, Kenshoo, Baidu, Naver, etc.
  • Previous experience working in a Direct Response and Performance Marketing role
  • Ability to travel as required (20%)

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience managing paid search with a hospitality or franchise company
