A Revenue Analyst analyses hotel data and presents strategies and forecasts that will help the hotel stay ahead of the competition.



What will I be doing?

As Revenue Analyst, you will analyse hotel data and present strategies and forecasts that will help the hotel stay ahead of the competition. A Revenue Analyst will support the Revenue and Sales Teams by providing information and strategies to maximize sales efforts. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Fully utilize available tools and systems to maximize all revenue streams. Apply all facets of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, selling strategies and tactics in accordance with Hilton Revenue Management best practices.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports including but not limited to daily pick-up reports, weekly booking pace and segmentation reports, month end reports, monthly forecast reports, monthly displacement reports, monthly transient trend reports, monthly no-show and cancellation analysis reports.
  • Prepare and maintain GC&E Demand Calendars.
  • Development of new reports, as needed, to assist in preparation for the weekly revenue meetings and/or data analysis.
  • Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels. Analyze and present accurate picture of trends, demand and market conditions.
  • Present financial data through day-to-day operations, as well as strategically guide the Revenue department to achieve team and organizational goals.
  • Ensure yield exemptions are investigated and analyzed and new business opportunities are identified.
  • Outline risks and opportunities relative to meeting rooms versus guest room availability to present at weekly meetings.
  • Develop competitive research and conducting industry benchmarks to provide background information for the entire pricing strategy.
  • Prepare a three-month market segment outlook and maintain on a daily basis by monitoring actual results versus forecast for plan achievement.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the

following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the

supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

§   Answer other hotel team member's questions regarding revenue management in a friendly and courteous manner; provide training to other team members on RM theory as needed.

§   Ensure that all rooms’ statistics reports, including OnQ, report of operations, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent.

§   Ensure that all revenue management related systems are maintained, including: OnQ RMS, Opera, Delphi.

§   Understands revenue maximization theory and practice especially yield management and pricing.

§   Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.

§   Manages time well, correctly prioritizes and is flexible.

§   Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
