Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst for Sales Reporting will coordinate global reporting and analysis functions for Hilton's Global Sales organization. The Team Member will provide analytical support for Sales incentives, operations, and initiatives that drive the overall financial results and strengthen the company's competitive advantage. The Senior Financial Analyst for Sales Reporting will help administer sales incentive processing and ongoing audit and appeals processes, as well as develop business relationships, identify profitable opportunities, anticipate challenges, and devise and execute strategies to deliver against current and future global priorities.

What will I be doing?

  • Assist with the administration and processing of incentive compensation plans for Global Sales organization
  • Support the audit and appeals processes for sales incentive compensation and Group Sales
  • Help to administer sales incentive database(s) and tool(s) that support processing and reporting
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve system related issues
  • Document and evaluate payout, audit, and appeals processes for incentive compensation and help identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate
  • Support development of FAQ’s and SOP’s related to these processes and supporting tools and systems
  • Help coordinate the monthly contract review for the Group Sales team
  • Assist in developing monthly reporting of incentive compensation information to senior leadership
  • Research and help to identify business drivers for Global Sales and report findings and conclusions to senior leadership
  • Develop presentations that compare data, highlight risks and focuses on qualitative and quantities issues
  • Assist with the evaluation and improvement of global sales reporting and incentive calculation and payment processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of above property sales commissions
  • Disseminate and communicate regarding assignments and projects within the department and with senior leaders and constituents from other departments, including, but not limited to FP&A, senior finance leadership, and senior Global Sales leadership
  • Inform upper management of department’s progress and advise them on key issues to help the decision making process, particularly as it relates to current and forward financial performance and opportunities
  • Provide support to the Senior Vice President of F&A Finance, as required
  • Provide support to the Vice President of GBCS Finance, as required
  • Prepare special projects for the Vice President of GBCS Finance on a regular basis, including contract analysis, project analysis, NPV analysis, etc.

Job Requirements
What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Controller area or business unit financial analysis role
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of management and effectively present to senior and executive management
  • Ability to analyze financial, statistical, and operational data
  • Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Knowledge of business mathematics, including the ability to create and manipulate financial models and spreadsheets
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Smart View and Hyperion Essbase
  • Experience working with and/or familiarity with Sales, Revenue Management, multi-channel Distribution and other commercial performance areas
  • Familiarity with franchise and shared service models inclusive of various fee and funding streams and the rules and regulations surrounding the use of each fee stream
