“I began my journey with Hilton as the first page boy at the Hilton Vienna, which proudly opened its doors in 1975. This initial role marked the start of a valuable three-year apprenticeship program, providing me with foundational training in hospitality. That experience instilled a deep passion for service excellence and set the stage for a fulfilling career. Over the past 50 years, Hilton has been like a family, shaping both my professional growth and personal values.

From your perspective over the past 50 years, how has Hilton evolved as a company?

One standout highlight was winning the best Hotel opening in our Luxury Division with Conrad Dubai during the LUXCON event, a testament to our team's hard work and dedication. Beyond awards, I’ve been honored to meet esteemed royals such as King Charles, Princess Anne, and the Duke of Edinburgh. Equally rewarding has been connecting with celebrities from film and sports, many of whom have become cherished friends. These experiences have enriched my career profoundly, reminding me that hospitality is not just about service but building lasting relationships and unforgettable memories.”

What has kept you with Hilton for five decades?

These experiences have been both challenging and rewarding. Beyond career opportunities, the strong camaraderie and deep relationships I’ve built with fellow General Managers and colleagues have created a supportive professional family. Hilton’s commitment to my development and its global vision and values have made it unnecessary for me to look elsewhere. This combination of professional growth, opportunity, and personal connection has kept me dedicated to Hilton for five decades.“
