Ignacio's career has been shaped by a lasting passion for people and hospitality, starting in the Elevator Graduate Programme and evolving across multiple areas of the business. Throughout his journey, he has brought curiosity and a commitment to learning into every new role he’s taken on.

Starting your Hilton journey in the Elevator Graduate Programme gave you exposure to various business areas. How did that experience open doors and influence the direction your career has taken?
“It was a unique opportunity to understand what makes a hotel successful and gain insight into the challenges and priorities of different departments. While it did not make me an expert in every area, it gave me the confidence to have meaningful conversations across the business and understand how different functions work together to drive performance. It also cemented my passion for people and hospitality. That experience has shaped every role I have held since, both on property and now in a corporate environment, where I strive to bring the hotel perspective into the work I do every day so we can provide the best possible support to our hotels.”
How have Hilton’s culture and leaders supported your development and encouraged you to explore new opportunities along the way?
“From the beginning, Hilton has been a place where a core focus of leadership is to create opportunities for people to grow. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to take part in development programs, join the Global Distribution team on a maternity cover assignment, and take on interim leadership roles. I love taking on new challenges. While stepping into something new can feel daunting, many of my best experiences at Hilton have come from embracing uncertainty, focusing on the opportunity ahead, and trusting that growth happens outside of your comfort zone.”
You have held roles across several teams at Hilton. What have those transitions taught you about the business and about yourself?
“The biggest lesson has been to be patient with yourself. I am naturally someone who wants to hit the ground running at 150%, but over time, I have learned the value of listening first, asking questions, and giving myself space to learn. Each transition has allowed me to discover a new team, a new skill set, and a different perspective on the business.”
What excites you most about the work you do and the impact you have in your current role as a Senior Cluster Revenue Manager?
“The ability to make an impact through both performance and people. Being part of an incredibly talented community of Revenue Managers across EMEA, within a culture that challenges me to grow as a leader, is incredibly rewarding. I believe leadership is about helping others see their own potential, and I see that reflected in how we work within the Revenue Management Consolidated Center (RMCC), listening carefully, challenging assumptions, and leading with fairness and accountability. Seeing Team Members grow, take on greater responsibility, and achieve more than they thought possible is one of the most fulfilling parts of my role.
At the same time, I am proud of the impact our team has on our hotels. The RMCC EMEA team’s passion, expertise, and commitment help our hotels unlock performance and deliver stronger results.”
What has helped you feel confident stepping into new roles, and what advice would you share with others looking to do the same?
“Preparation has always helped me feel confident stepping into new roles. Before I start, I try to understand the responsibilities, the stakeholders I will work with, and where I can add value. I have also been fortunate to have incredible mentors whose guidance has played an important role in my development.
My advice is to seek out mentorship opportunities whenever possible and be ready to do the work. Stay open, be willing to be vulnerable, and actively apply the feedback you receive. When both sides invest in the relationship, mentorship can be transformative and help you pursue opportunities you may not have considered otherwise.”
Beyond your day‑to‑day role, you help create spaces where Team Members can connect and support one another. How has that experience influenced your sense of belonging and the way you support others at work?
“I have always been proud to be part of the Pride Team Member Resource Group (TMRG). Creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive is incredibly important both in their professional and personal lives. Visibility matters, and when people feel they can bring their whole selves to work, they can do their best work. We are part of a community that supports one another, and I know from personal experience how impactful that support can be.
There have been moments in my life when I was not at my best, and it was the kindness and encouragement of those around me that helped me move forward. That is why I am so passionate about creating those same opportunities for others. Hilton is about people, belonging, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive and be their authentic selves. Being able to contribute to that has been one of the proudest moments of my career.”
