Regional Japanese/Korean Elevator Trainee Programme
Japan, KoreaSelect hotels
Unlock your potential with the esteemed Regional Japanese/Korean Elevator Trainee Programme (RJET/RKET), a fast-track path to management. Over 24 months, you’ll receive training in key hotel departments like rooms and food & beverage. Upon completion, you’ll be placed in a supervisory or management role, with opportunities tailored to your skills and the hotel’s needs.
This programme gives you the chance to develop leadership skills and make a real impact in the hospitality industry.
Finance Management Trainee Programme
JapanSelect hotels
Accelerate your career with our Finance Management Trainee programme, designed to prepare you for a supervisory or management role in two years. Trainees gain hands-on experience through at least two placements in different locations across Japan.
You’ll build key financial and leadership skills through training, on-the-job experience and mentorship. The programme also offers cross-training in hotel operations and opportunities to work with key stakeholders, setting you up for a successful career in hotel finance.
Management Trainee Programme (Japan/Korea)

The Management Trainee (MT) programme is your opportunity to fast-track your path to management. Over 18 months, you’ll apply what you’ve learned to real-world situations, gaining hands-on experience in key areas like planning, time management, coaching and communication.
You’ll also learn about different hotel departments and how they work together, while developing leadership skills to prepare for future roles. Starting at the Supervisor level, you’ll grow your performance based on six key competencies, setting you up for leadership opportunities.
You’ll build key financial and leadership skills through training, on-the-job experience and mentorship. The programme also offers cross-training in hotel operations and opportunities to work with key stakeholders, setting you up for a successful career in hotel finance.
Management Trainee Programme (Greater China Market)
ChinaSelect hotels
The GCM Management Trainee Programme is your path to becoming a future general manager at a full-service hotel. Over 18 months, you’ll rotate through key hotel operations, gaining hands-on experience in areas like housekeeping, food & beverage services, front office, HR, finance and more.
You’ll be paired with a mentor—an experienced GM—who will guide you throughout your journey, with placements at their properties to ensure tailored support. This programme is designed to develop the skills and leadership capabilities needed to lead a hotel within 9 years.
Management Trainee Programme (South Asia)
South AsiaSelect hotels
The South Asia Management Trainee Programme is a great opportunity to grow into a leader in hospitality. It has three phases: Explore, Experience, and Excel.
You’ll start with a four-month hotel orientation and the Harvard Lead 1 programme, followed by eight months of training at your parent or host hotel. In the final phase, you’ll specialize at a different hotel within the country and gain experience in another country.
The programme ends with a graduation ceremony and your placement as an entry-level Manager, ready to start your leadership journey.

Hilton’s SEA Management Trainee Programme is designed to grow the next generation of hospitality leaders. Over 18 months, you’ll gain hands-on experience through three exciting phases:
- Explore: Rotate through all key hotel departments
- Experience: Specialise in an area like front office, food & beverage or housekeeping
- Excel: Gain exposure at other hotels within your country or across Southeast Asia
Launched in 2013 and relaunched in 2023, this programme prepares you for an entry-level management role, giving you the skills, confidence and leadership experience to thrive in your hospitality career.
