Evan’s Hilton Journey

“My Hilton journey started as an omelet cook, wanting to make some extra money. The Executive Chef, Miguel, saw my passion and drive and knew I was destined for more opportunities. I was offered the role of Kitchen Supervisor just after a few months and got promoted to Outlet Chef with Hilton West Palm Beach. I took a short break, then returned as the Executive Chef at The DoubleTree Boston Downtown, where I currently work. I am lucky to have been with Hilton for almost seven years!”

Evan’s experience with Hilton’s Guild Continuing Education Benefit

“I love learning and growing as an individual and a professional in my career, so I decided to take advantage of Hilton’s Guild Continuing Education benefit. I started by completing the eCornell Food and Beverage Course. This class taught me so much, specifically the ins and outs of starting and running a new restaurant from start to finish. It was an easy and hassle-free environment that allowed me to go at my own pace and ask as many questions as I wished. I have already started implementing what I learned through Guild education in my current position – This course has given me the insight to coach my Team Members and inspire other chefs within Team Hilton.”

What advice do you have for Team Members interested in growing and developing using the Guild benefit?

“If you are ready to continue your growth, I strongly recommend considering Guild Education. You will learn a lot, be able to work at your own pace and improve yourself personally and professionally. The opportunities offered by Guild would be difficult to access if it wasn’t for Hilton, so take advantage of this amazing benefit!”

“Hilton Has allowed me to travel worldwide for work and fun. I’ve had many opportunities to do task force when a Team Member is invited to a property where they can use their experience and expertise to support the operation. It gives me great pleasure and pride to do so, as Hilton empowers me to learn and grow.”
