Meet Amanda
Amanda just celebrated 12 years with Hilton in March of 2024! She started at the Hampton Inn & Suites Beale Street and now serves as Sr. Director of Hilton Supply Management (HSM) Brand Engagement. Her journey has included property-level sales support, regional sales workshop facilitation, and revamping Hotel Leader Support. She then transitioned into Hilton Supply Management, where she acts as brand liaison and HSM expert for All Suites and Focused Service brands. Her role involves using HSM to execute enterprise and brand strategies, working on projects like new brand prototypes, breakfast offerings, and cost-effective sourcing solutions.
How did you first learn about Hilton’s partnership with Progyny, and why did it appeal to you?
“I first learned about Hilton’s partnership with Progyny through a fertility clinic in early 2023. My husband and I, having struggled with unexplained infertility since our marriage in 2020, decided to pursue IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) in January after multiple unsuccessful procedures. Facing a $15,000 upfront cost for IVF, I was relieved to discover through a clinic staff member that Hilton’s Progyny benefit, which I had briefly seen in a flyer and email, could help cover this expense. This new benefit offered significant financial relief as we embarked on the IVF process.”
Can you share your experience with the Progyny program and the support you received from Hilton throughout the process?
“Upon discovering Hilton’s Progyny benefit, I called the number provided and was amazed at how straightforward the coverage was. The Progyny representative explained that the benefit covered all expenses associated with IVF, leaving us responsible only for medication costs. The support was exceptional, simplifying a complex process. For Hilton Team Members considering Progyny for family planning, I recommend reaching out early to fully understand the benefits. The team is friendly and will make the process easy to navigate!”
In what ways did your team contribute to a supportive work environment during this personal journey?
“I have been an open book to my team about our infertility journey. My leadership team, Team Members, and internal partners allowed me the time and flexibility needed to attend doctors' appointments, and procedures, or take days off when I simply needed to rest. I felt supported and encouraged throughout the entire IVF process. When I became pregnant, I had a large “fan club” for him. Everyone has been and continues to be excited for us!”
How Has Hilton’s commitment to well-being influenced your personal life?
“I was already fiercely loyal to Hilton after so many years with the company and building my career here. However, this benefit takes my love for this company to an entirely different level. I was able to navigate a very stressful process with more resources and support rather than alone. Few companies offer such comprehensive benefits, and I am incredibly grateful that Hilton prioritizes the needs and dreams of its Team Members, helping to make those dreams a reality.”
Can you share the joyous moment when you successfully welcomed the baby into the new world?
“Griffin was born this February at 6lbs 7oz. He brings us so much joy and is our entire world. I received so many encouraging words from my leadership team, teammates, and colleagues as we welcomed our new baby boy.”
