Job Summary

Position Purpose

  • As Assistant Manager of GC&E, you will lead and manage a team of 3 C&E Sales Executives to maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of groups, conferences and events by responding to enquiries, increasing conversion and maximising the events space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the reactive sales team

  • Execute the conference and events sales strategy and yield the conference diary.

  • Monitor and control the events strategy, brand standards and customer satisfaction.

  • Receive and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue

  • Seek opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team

  • Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach

  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs

  • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds

  • Produce sales activity reports as required

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Proactive Sales team

  • Participate in hotel promotional activities

Person Specification

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Preferred -
    • Proactive and self-motivated

    • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

    • Intermediate level of Excel and Word

    • Strong customer focus and ability to engage and connect with guests

    • Ability to multitask and prioritise

    • Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns

    • A desire to provide exceptional customer service

    • Excellent planning and organizing skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Exceptional -
    • Ability to speak additional languages is highly desirable

    • Strong leadership skills; having worked in a supervisory role previously is an advantage

2. Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Previous experience in a similar role or as a (Senior) G,C&E Executive at four/five star hotels

  • Proficiency with computers and previous knowledge of Delphi
