Job Summary

Our Global Revenue Management team is responsible forpredicting consumer demand and optimizing hotel inventory and priceavailability. The ultimate goal of our team is to maximize our company'srevenue growth by selling the right products to the right customer at the righttime for the right price.



What will I be doing?

As the Director of Revenue Management, you will reportdirectly to the General Manager. You will be responsible for successfulimplementation of short and long-range revenue management strategies thatachieve budgeted and forecasted revenues. You will lead and monitor allfunctions of the revenue management organization and report on the performanceof the property to the Executive Committee, Hotel Management, AssetManager/Owner, and Corporate Office.

You will use your strong communication, analytical skillsand critical thinking to resolve business challenges. You will conduct ongoingassessments of competitive hotel chains and revenue management practices tounderstand demand while achieving commercial objectives.



Morespecifically, you will:

  • Organize, motivate and lead the hotel's Commercial team toward the successful achievement of short, mid, and long-range financial plans.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Catering/Event Services, and Finance to drive revenue growth and profitability and to fulfill programs, policies, and responsibilities.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and long term results and forecasting. This includes ensuring compliance of corporate property standards.
  • Improve, develop, lead, monitor, and adjust short and long term sales and pricing strategies to achieve desired property forecasted and budgeted results in compliance with the financial plan. This will include maintaining data on competitor products and historical data on events and performance.
  • Lead and maintain all room rate and inventory controls to achieve maximum RPI, profitability, growth, and sellout efficiency utilizing the company's key strategic priorities.
  • Conduct competitive and demand analyses and provide critical analysis of chosen strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability.
  • Interview, train, counsel, schedule, evaluate, develop, mentor, and lead the Revenue Management Team and the Reservations Team to ensure maximum sales, efficiency, and productivity to ensure customer and team member satisfaction.
  • Build positive partnerships with the VP/Commercial Director, Senior Director of Revenue Management, Regional Director of Revenue Management, General Managers, and Executive Committee to design, develop, and deploy a long-range performance plan for the property. This includes working closely with Assistant Directors of Revenue Management and Managers/Analysts to align strategies, chase performance, and optimize the results.
  • Participate in management meetings and Hilton training programs as required, prepare presentations for meetings to communicate strategies and performance results, and advise the team on potential risks associated with the forecast.
  • Handle survey activities involving marketing and service opportunities to further enhance revenue potential.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate thefollowing minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree OR 5  years of Revenue Management experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in Revenue Management is required in a hotel with 300+ rooms with multiple market segments

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstratethe following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master's Degree
  • GRO system experience
  • CRME Certification
  • Multi-property or regional responsibilities
  • Some knowledge of the Spanish language
  • Validated collaboration with Hilton Commercial and other disciplines, including National Sales, Global Database Management, Regional Directors of Human Resources, Hilton Legal, Marketing and eCommerce, Brand Performance Teams, Operations Regional teams including AVPs and SVPs, and/or Hilton Management Services Teams
  • Experience in hospitality forecasting, pricing and inventory control
  • Experience with travel industry reservation systems
  • Experience with hotel property management systems
  • Experience using our Company's software programs
