About the role
 As a Food & Beverage Supervisor – Event Operations, you will be responsible for engaging our guests during their stay, event / function at the Hotel. You will supervise the various types of Food & Beverage service for a wide variety of events, while ensuring brand standards are met to the highest quality. Reporting to the Event Operations Floor Manager, you will enjoy working as part of a team on a rotating roster, in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/responsibilities
  • Ensuring the service of food and beverages at all events and functions including buffets, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, cocktail parties, morning and afternoon teas and any other functions is in line with Hilton standards
  • Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner, including but not limited to serving as a barista or bartender, if required
  • Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
  • Ensure F&B attendants keep service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
  • Answer Guest queries in a polite and helpful manner
  • Guide team members when setting function rooms and event areas to customer specifications
Skills/experience
  • Experience in running event
  • Experience supervising a team in an F&B environment
  • Friendly, positive, energetic disposition
  • Committed to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Motivated to learn new skills and techniques
  • Smart and tidy, in appearance
  • Positive and willing to participate on a team and work with a winning attitude
  • Flexible, reliable, and responsive to a range of work situations
  • Prepared to manage a variety of customer types, inquiries, and complaints
  • Previous food hygiene experience
  • Excellent communication skills - the ability to engage with our guests through conversation
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixing of drinks
It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities:
  • Experience in a similar position within a 5 star hotel or resort environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
