Job Description

An Income Auditor is responsible for balancing and posting all sources of incoming revenue and payments/settlements on a daily basis. Reconcile, on a daily basis, recorded cash receipts versus actual cash received by General Cashier. Reconcile, on a daily basis, all tenant accounts, guest ledger, city ledger, and advanced deposits. Maintain appropriate source documents for all pertinent backup.

This position may have a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. The weekly schedule will be based on business and departmental need.



What will I be doing?
An Income Auditor is responsible for balancing and posting all sources of incoming revenue and payments/settlements on a daily basis. Reconcile, on a daily basis, recorded cash receipts versus actual cash received by General Cashier. Reconcile, on a daily basis, all tenant accounts, guest ledger, city ledger, and advanced deposits. Maintain appropriate source documents for all pertinent backup. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Prepare daily Food & Beverage Revenue Report data by auditing Micros tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, service charges and gratuities, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Run audit reports/journals necessary from OnQ PMS, Micros, and Elavon credit card acquirer.
  • Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer/system problems that are directly correlated with PMS/POS and payments/settlements.
  • Reconcile all physical documentation, including that of 3rd party vendors, to balance transactions recorded to the GL for audit requirements.
  • Route allowances/ adjustments, rate reports, promotional tickets and paid outs on a daily basis.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Finance and the Assistant Director of Finance based upon department needs.
Job Requirements

What are we looking for?

EDUCATION

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. High school diploma required.

EXPERIENCE

Prior Customer Service and Computer Experience Required. Ability to fully operate a 10-Key Calculator. Ability to type at a minimum of 40WPM. Accounting experience and Hospitality experience preferred.  

Must have a high degree of proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel and Outlook. POS and/or PMS experience a plus.

GROOMING

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance (specific standards available). Business attire required

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate a 10-key by touch, and other office equipment, including.
    Proficiency with software and systems including all Microsoft Office applications, PMS/POS applications, Credit Card processing systems, etc
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using moderately complex computer system applications. Also must be able to balance large amounts of charges efficiently and accurately. 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests. Must possess and maintain proficient telephone etiquette.
