Job Summary

At Hilton London Bankside the Reservations Agent is to ensure that reservations are dealt with effectively and to carry out effective room merchandising to maximize room revenue.

Promotes the desired work culture around our Brand Pillars; A room for me, Nourish me, Meet my needs, Show me you care, Respect and Value me.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that reservations are dealt with in an efficient and pleasant manner.

  • To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximize hotel sales.

  • To provide a hospitable service.

  • To be fully conversant with OnQ PM in order to input reservations in the system without any backlog.

  • To communicate with all relevant departments at all times and assist where necessary.

  • To check all correspondence in connection with reservations and deal with accordingly.

  • To run the arrival check and ensure all traces and comments are up-to-date

  • To work in accordance with the rooms strategy/top line actions.

  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments in the hotel.

  • To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.

Person Specification

  1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Strong customer awareness and focus.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with customers.

  • Well-groomed and presentable with excellent written and spoken English

  • Ability to work and interact well as part of a team.

  • High level of IT proficiency


  • Previous experience with OnQ PM

  1. Proven Experience/Education Level

  • Demonstrated previous experience working in the hospitality sector

  • Fluent spoken and written English
