Job Summary

Hilton is creating a best-in-class Data and Analytics department that will lead a connected ecosystem of data, technology, tools, techniques, people and processes. This innovative data and analytics function will drive advanced analytics and actionable insights to help drive Hilton's performance.


What will I be doing?

The Analytics team serves as internal consultants to key functions across the business, including Hilton's customer, marketing, digital revenue and sales organizations with specialized support for the executive leadership team. The team consists of embedded domain experts who serve as strategic advisors to key partners and technical authorities who are proficient in Tableau, R, SAS and MicroStrategy. The team is fully integrated within the business functions in order to ensure close partnerships and to more effectively measure and drive company performance.

Working with the Director, Sales Analytics you will be responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders and project teams to lead requirements gathering, perform analytical tasks, develop solutions and effectively communicate progress or results. You will be main point of contact between the analytics team and the business partners for projects, ensuring successful achievement of shared goals or objectives.

More specifically, you will:

  • Partner and coordinate with Hilton data and analytics, business, IT, project management teams and external partners for ongoing projects and initiatives
  • Act as go-between for the project manager and key partners; lead requirements gathering, reports and analysis
  • Communicate requirements, changes and results with partners
  • Develop solutions for tools, dashboards, models and deep dive analysis, in conjunction with Hilton analytics, data and reporting teams
  • Support project evaluation and monitoring, defining key performance parameters and creating reports to track progress
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to recap progress and sharing of ideas
  • Actively partner with the business to better understand problems and helping identify solutions through existing or new tools and datasets
  • Provide input to the value measurement processes to ensure business results are achieved
  • Collaborate with other teams within the Center of Excellence in order to improve analytics capabilities

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in roles creating and analyzing management reports, gathering reporting requirements, developing reports and dashboards
  • Two (2) years of experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • Ability to engage audiences
  • Extraordinary analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • The ability to influence partners and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
