Job Summary

To manage the client/customer relationship for events above 100 delegates. Maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of conference and event. The event manager will interact frequently with guests to develop future and repeat business

Planning Focus:

 Proactively identifies every opportunity to secure incremental revenue through upselling and excellent customer service

 Consistently strive to develop relationships and ensuring customer loyalty to Hilton through Total Event Management

Customer Focus:

 To fully understand the needs of the customer and strive to meet or exceed those expectations at all times

 Versatile and positive in developing and managing customer relationships with a high standard of communication

 Drive OEX within the team

 Commercial Focus:

 Adopt a ‘Sales' attitude.

 Accountability for achieving GC&E revenue targets through a deep understanding of the product and by increasing conversion at the highest possible rate

 To be aware of the budgets / financial targets within the property both overall hotel and departmental. With this in mind constantly looking at methods to increase sales and ideas for upselling.

 To work and co-operate with others, taking part in departmental meetings, team briefings and project work and support other team members and provide assistance when necessary to ensure the team achieve their goals.

Administration:

 To comply with all systems, procedures and Groups Conference & Events  best practice as laid down by Hilton Worldwide.

 Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, and Hilton World wide's operating policies, processes and systems.

 General other responsibilities:

 To be actively involved in preparation and participation in all relevant business activities and meetings and ensure actions are followed up

 Attend to weekly Communication meeting with operational departments and Credit meeting.

 Assist Team leader when necessary and when the team leader is away.

 Support team leader to ensure all KPI's and Departmental / Team Targets are met.

• Promoting Hilton Worldwide Values as the foundation of the organisations culture.

 Be a ‘Brand Ambassador' of Hilton Worldwide by leading by example

 Maintain excellent team spirit by supporting and encouraging all Team members

 Ensure Team Members fully apply Hilton Brand Standards. Conduct their PDR, and One to One together with Team leader (newest team member). Ensure all staff receives all mandatory training and organise extra training if necessary for their development.

 Attend all relevant training and development activities as required
