Get to Know Nitin

“I started as a Management Trainee and grew through Business Development and Commercial roles during the initial stages of my career. These positions helped me realize that the most important things for a business are people and purpose! My journey with Hilton has been a special one with the help of some wonderful colleagues and leaders around me. Hilton is a platform that allows me to make an impact on the world. Being part of a global brand like Hilton, it is up to us to bring the vision and mission of Conrad Hilton to life. We are Hilton, We are Hospitality, and We are Brighter Together!”
What do you love about hospitality?
“It is so meaningful to be able to create an impact in people’s lives and welcome diverse cultures into our hotels. I love that the hotel works together to make a stay special and create meaningful experiences for guests and Team Members. Our industry thrives on creating special moments, impacting the community, and bringing together cultures.”
How do you bring your full self to work?
“I believe in having a purpose when coming into work. Every day I focus on Hilton as my home, and my Team Members are like family. Working with such great people makes it easy to spread the light and warmth of hospitality and to make our guests feel special.”
How has Hilton supported your career growth and development?
“During my ten years at Hilton, I always had the desire to learn through Hilton’s career development benefits. I have also been fortunate to have leaders around me who inspired and mentored me through every phase of my career.  I have been lucky to be a part of various training programs, including Lead 3.1, a program that helped me build my leadership skills during my time in Phuket. I also have been able to do taskforce for Hilton, which is when a Team Member is invited to a property where they can use their experience and expertise to support the operation. Traveling for taskforce in Vietnam was my last project before moving into my current role, and it was wonderful to support the team and meet our Vietnamese Team Members.  I am also currently part of Hilton’s development program called Shine1, which has given me further insights into functions outside my new role as National Director, Hilton Thailand. I have also been able to expand my network in the company to other regions and other functions where now I have wonderful resources for mentorship and guidance.”
What aspects of Hilton’s culture keep you at the company?
“Hilton has guided me both professionally and personally through my 10 years of working here. Hilton’s well-defined purpose, meaningful vision, and strong values are the reasons why I love this company. Hilton has given me tools to help develop myself and the chance to develop others. I also am a major fan of the GoHilton program – I was recently able to use it for my wedding, and now have my wife as my GoHilton Spouse partner."
What is the #1 place on your travel bucket list?
“Peru has always interested me as a destination. I also had an incredibly good friend who I met working at Hilton who is Peruvian, who recommends I use my GoHilton benefits to visit this beautiful country!”
