Digital Arrival
Comprised of Hilton’s industry-leading Digital Check-in and Digital Key capabilities, Digital Welcome allows our Hilton Honors members tochoose and go straight to their room without stopping at the front desk. Digital Check-in, within the Hilton Honors app, gives guests the ability to check in to their room from their mobile device and choose their room position and floor, quickly and easily, whereas Hilton’s Digital Key technology offers guests the option to use the Hilton Honors app as a room key.
The Hilton team continues to build on the Digital Arrival technology and now offers a first for a major hospitality company: Digital Key Share, which allows more than one guest to have access to their room’s Digital Key.
True to Hilton’s customer-centric focus, our Confirmed Connecting Rooms technology solves a longtime travel frustration. An industry-first feature, Confirmed Connecting Rooms enables customers to easily book and instantly confirm connecting or adjoining rooms. Hilton was the first major hotel company to introduce this booking experience.
As Hilton’s digital entertainment hub, the Connected Room Experience allows guests to personalize and control several aspects of their stay from one central point the Hilton Honors app on their mobile device. It gives hotels the ability to welcome guests by name on the TV and then allows guests to control in-room technology using the Hilton Honors app on their phones, including personalizing their preferences for popular streaming apps, such as Netflix and iHeartRadio.
To support the growing need for frictionless travel and introduce easier ways for guests to engage with hotel teams, Hilton is expanding its mobile messaging platform to more than 7,000 Hilton properties worldwide by the end of 2024. The system, developed in partnership with Kipsu, enables messaging via the Hilton Honors app, SMS, WhatsApp and other messaging channels. The digital messaging capability allows hotel teams to check in on the guest’s experience throughout their stay, enabling a two-way, immediate exchange to answer questions, address concerns, arrange experiences and more.

We designed the experience for the happy path user and we were able to leverage those components and logic to bring that to life for our Go Hilton users. We lean into customer feedback by constantly listening to the user via qualitative feedback as well as multi-variant testing to de-risk from a quantitative perspective. The latest features include: pricing on map, scrollable gallery within list view, as well as new attribute filters which we are constantly expanding. This project is beautiful example of our cross-functional collaborations between Engineering, Design, Product, and Business partners.
