With Go Hilton, you can explore unique destinations, connect with new cultures, and create unforgettable memories. Take it from Victoria, a dedicated Hilton Team Member who has turned her passion for travel into a reality. With nearly 100 trips through Go Hilton, she has explored some of the most breathtaking corners of the globe, from Australia to Hawaii, and even made lifelong connections along the way.
In this blog, Victoria shares how she has made the most of Hilton’s Team Member benefits, her incredible travel adventures, and the memories that make Hilton not just the best hospitality company to work for, but a gateway to the world.

Please share your Hilton journey. How long have you been with Hilton, and what roles have you held at Hilton throughout your career?

“I first started at Hilton in November 2014 at the Hilton London Gatwick Airport as a front desk agent, and after 9 months, I moved over to the Conferences and Events team. When I went to the recruitment day, they mentioned the Go Hilton benefit, and at the time, it sounded amazing, so it was fantastic to be successful and get the job.”
You have been on almost 100 Go Hilton trips! What do you love about exploring new places?
“Traveling is my passion, and although I loved it before, working for Hilton has helped me go on so many more trips because Go Hilton gives you excellent rates around the world. I have a long travel bucket list, so seeing the different hotels and exploring something new is fun.

I have traveled with Go Hilton to places like Australia, Hawaii, Sweden, Tanzania, Japan, and Morocco. Most of my trips are solo, often to places with cultures different from mine. However, whenever I walk into a Hilton, I feel at home, from the comfort of the rooms (Hilton has the comfiest beds and pillows EVER!) to the staff being so friendly. When a Team Member finds out I work for Hilton, they are always interested in discovering where I am from and what I do; I have even become friends with a few over the years!”
What are some of your favorite properties you have visited?
“This is such a tricky question! My first-ever trip abroad with Hilton will always be close to my heart as I achieved my dream of spending my 30th birthday in New York. I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Brooklyn, and it was a fantastic location; as soon as you stepped out, you could see the Manhattan Bridge. It was also a short walk to the subway station to reach Manhattan. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were kind.

My second Hilton stay was at Hilton Mauritius, where the staff were so kind and looked after me when I was not feeling well. A major bucket list trip was in March 2020, when I flew to Kuala Lumpur and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur before flying to Borneo to stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. I used this as a base to see Orangutans—a trip I will never forget! I then spent a week at the Conrad Bali, which was stunning.
I want to mention Hilton Niagara Fallsview, where I spent my most recent birthday, with a fantastic view of the falls from my room, and to Conrad Chia Laguna, which was pure luxury and the perfect break when I needed to relax.”
Can you share a memorable story or experience from one of your travels?

“I feel fortunate to have stayed in some fantastic hotels, but being in hospitality, you know how important the people are, and Hilton delivers that exceptional service. At Hilton Mauritius, the team members were excellent, kind, and thoughtful. My sister and I flew out from the UK to Mauritius in January. UK weather in January can be freezing, and we had a big contrast to the heat of Mauritius. The climate change gave me a sore throat and cold, and so when we went to dinner the third night, I didn’t feel like eating, which I explained to the Team Member, and without asking for it, he brought me a honey and lemon tea to soothe my throat. He then delivered a fresh pot to my room when I returned.”
How has the Go Hilton benefit helped you connect with new cultures or people?
“Without working for Hilton and having the fantastic benefit of Go Hilton, I wouldn't have been able to go to all the countries I have been to! I have traveled to 49 countries, and 21 of those are because of Go Hilton. The world is so big, and there is so much to see, so many people to meet, and so many different cultures and histories to learn about. Go Hilton, and working for Hilton helps me achieve my dreams.”

Are any destinations still on your bucket list or any properties you’re looking forward to visiting next?
“You should see my travel bucket list! For a long time, I have wanted to spend my 40th birthday in Conrad Bora Bora Nui or Hilton Moorea Lagoon and Spa. I'd also love to go to the Seychelles and the Maldives. Seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland is also on my bucket list.”
