is named after the “Mother of Houston,” Charlotte Baldwin, an explorer, builder, cattle rancher and brash businesswoman.

CONRAD NEW YORK MIDTOWN: NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK


In the Lobby of the Conrad New York Midtown in New York City is Leda and the Swan, a life-like sculpture by renowned artist Carole A. Feuerman. The piece is influenced by the Greek myth of the same name and this contemporary sculpture revives the story by bringing in modern themes of feminism and strength.

The Duniway Portland, A Hilton Hotel is inspired by American pioneer Abigail Scott Duniway who braved the Oregon Trail and became a champion for social injustices and women’s rights including helping to gain the right to vote.
