As a leader at the @DTMakkah, she credits her love for people and her childhood in Makkah for inspiring her to pursue a career in hospitality:
"One of the best parts of working in hotels is helping guests create memories. Making people happy is what counts, and I enjoy being around people and being of service to them. We've stepped up to offer this support to our Team Members through various programs including free counseling through our Employee Assistance Program, the addition of a dedicated counselor, the creation of a Care For All microsite, with global Team Member stories and resources, and eCourses for people managers to provide tips on how to best support their teams with these conversations. We also solidified our support by signing the #MentalHealthPledge with @Thrive earlier this year.

"As a military spouse, I am extremely supported through the flexibility Hilton provides. Relocating is inevitable for us, so the fact that I can work remote and maintain my job while supporting my family has been such a gift. My supervisor also allows me to prioritize my family, whether that's flexibility with my schedule, or taking time to spend with them when my husband returns from a deployment.
I also have the support of my team, who rally around me - even going so far as to count the days to his return with me! And the additional support I receive from the Military TMRG has been unmatched in any other job I have worked in."

Meet Chris 🤝 Area Director of Property Operations, @Hilton Incident Response Team Member, and Navy Veteran 🎖️
"I served in the military from 1999 - 2004 on 2 different ships as a Boatswains Mate, which is similar to a Building Engineer but maintains the exterior of the ship. During my service, I was deployed on three tours, and volunteered for different jobs including helping land aircraft, advanced fire fighting, and even driving a Navy Seal Swick boat during Operation Iraqi Freedom."
After becoming a Team Member in 2018, Chris joined Hilton's Incident Response Team, a voluntary group of Area and Regional Directors of Security and Engineering who deploy to areas effected by natural disasters.
"I am proud to have been a part of every Incident Response Team deployment since joining Hilton, which has allowed me to continue the service I found in the military by helping people who are in need."

Time flies when you're having fun ✨ With over 25 years on #TeamHilton, its safe to say that Leticia, Cluster Revenue Manager at the Embassy Suites and @homewoodsantodomingo, knows this well:
"When I was attending university in Margarita Island, Venezuela, every time I passed by the Hilton I always thought, 'I will work there someday.' When I had to look for my internship...there were some open positions in Front Office so I applied and got the job." The rest was history. 🪄
As for how she found her Thing at @hilton, Leticia says it was a mixture of taking Hilton University courses, participating in cross-training opportunities, joining task forces, and trusting in her potential and knowledge, that helped guide her career path.
Her advice for other aspiring leaders? "Seize every chance you have to learn all you can, as opportunities benefit those that are the most prepared."

Meet Darby, Manager, Experience Design (XD) Research 🤝
Darby began working with the XD team in 2019 on a number of exciting digital projects, including redesigning the @hiltonhonors Points Explorer. Now she’s infusing her personal experiences as a deaf person into a project that’s near to her heart.
“Even though I function as a hearing person, I know the feeling of something not working for you as it should. Now I’m helping close the gap of including people with both cognitive and physical disabilities in our research studies. I’m excited to explore the distinct ways they view travel and ultimately create a more satisfying end-to-end experience for all of our guests, in the same way my fellow Team Members have created for me. Their quick action to speak up or repeat their thoughts once they realize I can’t hear them, without annoyance or guilt, has been the most helpful thing for me.”
